Put a spring in your step

Pssst... we almost through March already. Spring is well on its way, and before long we will be putting out clocks forward for Summer. How are your New Year's resolutions coming along? Some of you may be saying what - oh those. Did you make any resolutions?

In December last year I decided to approach 2011 from a different perspective, by making only one New Year’s resolutions to have more fun. Only one! Because not matter how well intentioned, by mid-January 3 a large proportion of these resolutions either failed or faltered. By March most of these resolutions had fallen to the wayside or been forgotten. Why? Often ‘things’ got in the way and before I knew it another year had gone by. Or I would take the approach of ‘lets see what the New Year brings as I’m not sure what I want.’

This year I set 20 very clearly defined goals of what I wanted to create for myself, using a number of clearly defined steps and processes. The goals were set but not all had clear steps to make them happen. Yet amazingly by mid January about 10 of them were already on their way to being achieved. By the beginning of March, 8 had been achieved and 4 more have been set into motion.

One of my goals was to develop and run a workshop this year at that stage I had no specific idea what it would be. A chance conversation about goals and resolutions with a friend and colleague, Dionne, lead to us creating the workshop. For more information and upcoming dates click here
